Seeing that Corel wont help you with the trial version maybe someone in here can assist. I recommended VS X6 to a friend and she downloaded the trial version to give it a try. When she clicks on the file to set it up it asks where she wants to put it and she accepted defaults and a tick in start setup after saving. It saved the file o its Corel Folder but setup didnt run. She asked for help so I logged into her computer and the setup files were in there and attempting to run setup.exe nothing happens So I tried to run setup.msi from the setup folder and it comes up with an error
which says 1.02:23:2 The system cannot find the specified file.
And nothing happens again. anyone have any clues as how to get around this small problem so I can actually Install VSX6 on her computer
thanks
John

Re: VS X6 wont install
Hi John
It may well be a corrupt installation file, try downloading another.
or delete the setup folder and run the installer to extract the files again?
Or try installing on another machine that should identify if the file is corrupt.
Internet browser tools
There have been some problems with browsers using toolbar plugins, Browser Protect, Babylon, Bando come to mind. The later was a recent problem for one of the forum members.
Although I have no idea why they should affect the installation.
Check the Program and Features for any unusual browser programs.
Right click the Toolbar to view the installed plugins.
And from the Setup folder you should also be able to start the process by double clicking the Autorun.exe file
