Running the 32-bit version of PSP X6:
The first couple of times that I scan (during a session), no problem. But then problems: either
A) pressing Scan (after looking at Preview) does nothing. ScanGear hangs. Can't Close ScanGear and also cannot close PSP -- have to go to Windows Task Manager to kill PSP.
OR
B) after scanning, ScanGear stays in front of PSP X6. By moving my PSP window up, I can see that the image has scanned and I can access menu to Save. But the ScanGear window won't move behind the PSP window and I can't close ScanGear either. The Windows button at the top right that minimizes the window is grayed out.
Thanks for any help.

Re: PSP X6: ScanGear problem
What scanner are you using. The mention of the term Scangear suggests that it may be a Canon scanner. This is needed so that someone else with similar setup can try and duplicate your problem.
I am still using a canon N1220OU scanner. I use it through File >Import> Twain Acquire.
The Scangear dialog box comes up and I do a Preview. Then Select the area I want to scan (yeah scanner is old) and press Scan. Sometimes it does not scan immediately as it does a recalibration. Have also had some failures because the cabling at the back was not attached properly.
The image scans and the Scangear auto minimises to the task bar. I have to click the Task bar section a couple of times to get the dialog box back up for the next scan or to close the Scangear application. Then I can work on the image(s) in the Edit workspace.

Re: PSP X6: ScanGear problem
I would suggest that you just scan with the scanner's software rather than trying to scan through PSP to go through the scanner's software. The resulting image should be the same. Keep it simple.
