"Help please" Roxio usb capture not working with Corel Vsx6
In Capture mode in Vsx6 the Roxio Usb capture device shows up but when selected it defaults back to default, it is unselect able. It works fine with the Roxio Nxt product but not with the Video Studio. Getting this to work as it should, would be a great help.

Re: "Help please" Roxio usb capture not working with Corel V
As far as I know it only works with the Roxio software for which it was designed. Why are you not using that?

Re: "Help please" Roxio usb capture not working with Corel V
The Roxio works for capturing but then I have to edit the video. Just trying to save a step. Videostudio x6 does say it works with all capture devices on its page. Since Corel owns Roxio you would think their own usb device would work with their software.

Re: "Help please" Roxio usb capture not working with Corel V
I have the Roxio device and several pieces of software including several Roxio programs. The only one that works with the device is the Roxio software.
The device is not really a Corel device since it came out before Corel bought Roxio.
I don't understand what you mean by this: "The Roxio works for capturing but then I have to edit the video. Just trying to save a step" What step do you think you are saving? Why would you not have to edit if you used VS?

Re: "Help please" Roxio usb capture not working with Corel V
I think what canuck is trying to say is what we say to many other users who use capture devices: not all of them work with any version of VS unless that version (and in particular version 10) was tweaked to work with the device. In other words, use the software which came with the capture device to capture, then simply open the captured video in VS for edting, Make sure, as far as is possible, to use a capture format which is compatible with your intended output format.

Re: "Help please" Roxio usb capture not working with Corel V
I am removing a bunch of video off of an old "DVR". So I capture it with the Roxio capture, but then the video has to be edited to remove commercials etc. I much prefer to use VSx6 for this part rather than the Roxio Software.canuck wrote:I have the Roxio device and several pieces of software including several Roxio programs. So - simply capture the video to your HDD using the Roxio programme then import it to VideoStudio for editing/rendering/making DVD etc.
