How to turn off the Splash Screen?

Post by Chromenut »

Silly question, as I found out how to turn it off in PSP x6, but in VSP x6 I cannot find a way to shut off the splash screen and it is a pain in the you know what! So, does anyone know how to turn off the splash screen?? Thank you in advance!

Do you mean the "Splash Screen" - I don't know a way to turn that off - why would you want to any rate it is an indication that the programme is loading - without it you would click to open the programme and then stare at a blank screen for 30 seconds or so not knowing if any thing is happening.

Or perhaps you mean the "Corel Guide" which opens after the programme is loaded - provided you have registered the product from about the third time of starting there should be a "Do not show this screen again" box to check in the bottom left hand corner.

No, I don't appreciate the splash screen flying over everything else I'm doing. I don't care about waiting for it to load, and in PSP x6 I've shut that splash screen off, so there should be a way to on VSP x6.

How do you shut off the Splash Screen in PSP X6?

I agree with you about that Splash Screen being annoying. There should at least be an option to minimize it.

Hi canuck

a search of the forum found this info..............
http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php ... en#p276863

Go to; File>>Preferences>>General Program Preferences>>Miscellaneous, then un-click 'Show splash screen when application starts.

Cannot do that for Video Studio but should be possible for Corel to fix I would have thought.
