Can someone explain PSP and Painter to me? I am a long-time PSP user, am on X6, and am trying out Photoshop and Painter. I periodically try out Photoshop, get frustrated and return to PSP. I understand that PSP is geared more toward photography. I am using it primarily for original art and want more art media functionality than it has. I am trying out Painter, which I kind of like, although I REALLY wish it had a font preview in the font-selection drop-down. I want to use a pen tablet, which I understand may be kind of quirky with PSP. I kind of wonder why Painter doesn't even have its own category in the forums. Is it not widely used? Is it meant to stand alone, or to be used with PSP or Photoshop? I guess I am trying to figure out where Corel is going with it and if it's worth buying, especially for the pen tablet functionality. (Don't have a pen tablet yet to try out with it)
thanks

Re: Need explanation of PSP and painter
Painter isn't on these forums because Painter actually as its own site and its own forums http://painterfactory.com/
Though I know a few people on here use both Painter and PSP so hopefully they will give you a good idea.
