PSP X6 Ulitimate Instant Effects Thumbnails Missing
I installed PSP X6 Ulitimate and when I first pulled it up I saw Instant Effects Thumbnails under the Adjust Tab. I experimented with a few then had to get off. When I reopened the program all the thumbnails were gone. No matter what I do I can't get the Instant Effects to show up in any of the tabs. Sometimes I'll scroll the mouse over the area, click it, and the photo will have one of the instant effects applied, e.g. black and white. That doesn't do me any good because I can't see what is being applied before clicking if the thumbnails aren't showing. Anyone know how to get the instant effects to show back up?

In Adjust, have you tried from the menu, view/palettes/instant effects? Also, if you happened to have hit the auto-hide (the pin symbol at the top of the palette), look for the instant effects tab at the right edge of your view.

Instant Effects title bar appears in all tabs. Shift+F2 will show that. However, the thumbnails with all the various effects aren't showing. E.G if I'm in Adjust Tab I see a title bar to the far right named "Instant Effects." Under that there is a pull down with "All" down to "User Defined." Below that just a dark gray blank where the thumbnails normally show. If I pull up PSP in 32 bit, everything works as designed and the thumbnails are all listed under the designated categories. In 64 bit ... it worked when initially installed and then poof it just went blank when I had reopened it. Funny thing about it, I am sure the thumbnails are actually listed under the pull down menus because if I mouse over the dark gray area the names will appear in a white box with black text. That's not doing me any good because I have no idea what the effect looks like or where the actual effect I might be looking for might be located in that gray sea of nothingness. It's like someone came in and painted over all the thumbnails in dark gray paint...I know they're there, but ...
In my google search I see others have experienced the same issue, but no one has posted a solution to it yet. My hope is someone who fixed it will let me in on how they performed the fix.
Thanks

You can try resetting your workspace to see if that corrects the problem. Resetting seems to fix a multitude of issues.
I would recommend saving your workspace first if you have made any customizations. You can do this via File -> Workspace -> Save.
Next close PSP and re-launch the program by holding down the Shift key while double-clicking the PSP icon. When it asks if you want to revert to factory default (or words to that effect), click okay.

Re: PSP X6 Ulitimate Instant Effects Thumbnails Missing
Thanks for the inputs. I reset the workspace. I reset the entire program every way described in the "Resetting PSP To Default" sent by Corel in the Adobe format. Still, Instant Effects thumbnails aren't appearing in 64 bit, but will appear in the 32 bit. Frustrating
because when I first opened it in 64 bit they were there and since I was just familiarizing myself with the program I am confident I made no changes to anything, especially to cause them to disappear like that. I've read others experiencing this I just hope one of them posts their resolution for me and anyone else who may encounter it in the future. I just did a winaudit requested by Corel, perhaps they'll come across something and find a solution.

I just downloaded and installed PSP6 trial, having the same problem. I can't believe someone hasn't fixed this problem yet.

The common feature here seems to be Vista Home Premium. Just checked with Windows 7 Home Premiom and no -roblems at all . Thumbnails of effects show and effecte work on 64 bit version.
Systems available Win7, Win 8.1,Win 10 Version 1607 Build 14393.2007 & version 20H2 Build 19042.867

Re: PSP X6 Ulitimate Instant Effects Thumbnails Missing
It's a confirmed issue for Vista 64bit. Sorry, it's not going to be fixed as Vista is not very often used (especially not the 64bit version) and not supported by Microsoft since 2012.
Sorry.
Sorry.

Re: PSP X6 Ulitimate Instant Effects Thumbnails Missing
Of course after my free warranty support expired I just got around to trying PSP X6 64 Instant Effects and mine are missing thumbnails and controls don't work. No way to contact Corel Technical Support anymore or even report an issue without paying more.
Anyway, the Instant Effects work fine on X6 32 bit.
I'm also running Windows Vista 64, which was listed as supported in the product's System Requirements, along with XP still.
