I received the following email (excerpted) from Corel Product Support:
"We would like to remind you that your free warranty service is due to expire in 5 days ... In order to extend your coverage, you should consider our valuable Premium Training & Support Plan ... To take advantage of this great value offer ... mention Promo Code TEACHME to get a special discount ... you can order online."
When I attempt to order online I see the following message: "Sorry! The coupon code [...] that you have entered is no longer valid."
I cannot obtain assistance with this matter from Corel, because they require that I have a "support code" before they will help me. I did not receive a support code when I registered my product.
According to the Corel Knowledgebase, in order to obtain a support code, I need to register my product. But I already registered my product.
Finally, of course, the email offering me the Promo Code comes from a 'no-reply' address.
So in essence, Corel's so-called 'free warranty service' - for VideoStudio, at least - comes down to this: If you're not prepared to pay, just go away.

Re: Useless Promo Code
Hi
When I access my Corel account , under the support panel/section I see my Your Personal Identification Number (PIN)
Maybe this is what you should be using.
A tool tip under the ? mark “You will need your Pin in order to contact Corel Support"
I have to say that it is many years since I asked for Corel support, I was not that impressed.
Corel do have a Facebook account, feedback from that is favourable with Corel actually replying to users questions, maybe that’s the route we should take.

Re: Useless Promo Code
Thanks for your help, but the result of using my (still valid) Personal Identification Number is:
"Error: Invalid support code"
"Error: Invalid support code"

Re: Useless Promo Code
IIRC, the initial support code comes in the email sent from Corel acknowledging registration of a product. Did you receive such an email and/or do you still have it? (Sometimes these things go into a spam folder.)

Re: Useless Promo Code
I did not receive such an email.
Lucky for me, I don't actually need support from Corel. And if I did actually need support for VideoStudio, I would not bother asking Corel for help, based on my experiences. Instead, I'd ask in this forum, where people are actually willing and able to offer help.
