Error 4709 during convert step

I am trying to record an NTSC DVD from two clips in DIVX format, both in PAL resolution. No menus, nothing fancy. The process never even gets to the burning, it always errors out with the same error (4709). If I try each clip individually, the same thing happens. Is it the PAL resolution?

Doing some searching showed that if I remove all programs from Sonic, I should be fine. But I have nothing from Sonic.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you,
