A friend of mine was showing me her new psp x6 and I asked if it were ultimate and she did not know.We punched the help>about but didn't find out.The version # is 16.1.0.48x64.Is there any way to tell?

Corel Paintshop Pro x6 and Corel Paintshop Pro X6 Ultimate - the main programs are exactly the same. As you will see on that PDF the Ultimate part is the extras that you get (extra programs Perfectly Clear, Face Filter 3, supposedly some extra brushes and royalty free backgrounds.
In previous versions the Ultimate part included the Nik filters and KPT filters.
Repeat the base program is exactly the same.
The numbers refer to the update version and not to whether the version is ultimate or normal.
The initial version released was 16.0.0.113.
After SP1 (Service Pack 1) the version was 16.1.0.48.
The second entry (.1.) refers to the SP value.
When SP2 comes out it will be changed to 16.2.0.x (where x is currently an unknown number.
