Linking Audio and Video.

Post by yamanisgr8 »

Hie all :)

I have started using a external audio microphone for my video projects. What i do is record the audio in the computer using a lapel mic.

My problem is the linking. As the video i make gets a lot of cuts. Its a problem for me to sync the video after every cut. Is there any option which can link the audio to the video? The onboard audio from the video will be muted and then i'll keep the audio in the audio track.

I use ripple editing option at times, can it do the job?

Also another question, is there a noise removal option/hiss removal?

Awaiting for your responses.

If I knew I was going to have to cut bits of the video out I think I would have tried a different approach - that is I would have first put the complete video and soundtrack into a project - muted the video sound and then synced the new sound to the video - then rendered out a completely new video which I would then use to edit and make my final video from.

Ripple editing can not work if you have one long sound track and are cutting the video - how can the soundtrack move if it is one long continuous piece ?

There is limited audio correction available in VS - click on the audio block in the soundtrack and open the options panel and click on "audio filter"

I went through the sound filters.. But its not much powerful for me.. Will have to use some other audio editors..

Is there no other option rather than re-rendering? That'll take a heck of time! :/
