Feature removal in X6

Post by sgraham »

Hi folks - been a whle since I was on the board. Happily using version 4 and bit on the low cost upgrade to X6 only to discover that they removed the 'Take Snapshot' feature that allowed me to walk thru a film and pull frame grabs. I opened a ticket on it and they confirmed the removal. I know you can do this one by one in a very roundabout way but the Take Snapshot button in the Edit tab was great. Why remove. I had to refund and stay with 4 due to this is critical to my process. I have been with Ulead/Corel now for 9 years and always relied on this feature thru all the upgrades and changes.- Steve

Hi Steve,

If we are talking about the same thing, Take a Snapshot appears in the Edit tab of my X6

It has not been removed. It is under the icon that looks like a cine reel with a red dot located above the timeline. Move to the frame you want using a choice of frame moving shortcuts, (Example B & F) open the screen and click on snapshot.
I admit it would be nice if a keyboard shortcut could be set up Ctrl-S for example.
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not so sure.
