support for Nikon p330

Post by linuxcav »

I recently purchased a Nikon P330. I assumed that it would work fine in Aftershot Pro because there are other nrw cameras that are listed as supported. When I tried to load my photos with ASP, it simply ignores them. Does anyone know of a workaround, or am I just going to have to wait until Corel supports the Nikon P330?

Would also like to see this camera supported!
Maybe this helps: ..."Some people have had success by using EXIFTOOL to edit the EXIF model field and change it to a supported model." ...

Thanks for the reply hannes_hab. I think editing the exif is something that I am not too interested in doing. For me a workflow program should be something that I can just use. If I have to figure out a way to batch edit a bunch of files and basically lie to the program then, I don't really see what the benefit of organizing my image files would be. Later on when the camera is supported, I would have the task of figuring out a way to go back and fix the problem that I have created by editing the exifs.

I hate to say it, but I think that I am one of those people that will just be using darktable for the time being. Corel should really consider the fact that many of their loyal customer base is being forced to use an opensource project. Usually open source projects are out of date and don't have the support that proprietary software has. In this case the opposite is true. Furthermore, I would hate to think that in the future I can't just go buy a camera that I like. Why should I have to wait months, years, or never for Corel to support my camera? I understand that things can't just be immediate all the time, but the P330 has been out since April of last year.
