Lip syncing/music off after burning DVD

Post by ageorge22 »

I have scoured the forum and I can't seem to find the answer. Am I doing something wrong when setting up the menu and rendering a DVD? Everything sounds perfect/ lines up when I view it in my timeline but after it is burned to a DVD the sound is off by 2-3 seconds. Maddening!! Please help!! It's only a 15 min video.

are you going direct from the timeline with your project in it into the Create Disc Module and using the file in the timeline there to create your DVD

many users have found that that can introduce errors due to the large amount of conversion which needs to happen all in one stage - to combat that please try breaking the process down into steps - this is what I do and do not have any sync problems.

When I have finished editing I go to "Share >> create VIDEO file" - then choose to make a "DVD" compliant video file giving it a slightly different name from the project. when complete play the file - is all good ???

if yes then back to your project in the timeline this time go "Share >> Create Disc" - when the module opens DELETE the video in the timeline there and using the icons at top left import your new and tested video file - continue to create menu etc but when you get to the final screen uncheck "Create to Disc" in fact do not even put a disc in your drive - and check "Create Disc Image" - then "Burn" which will create an .iso file on your computer.

Use the Free VLC player from :- http://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html to play the iso which it will do exactly as a DVD complete with menu etc.
Is all still well and in sync ???

Back to Videostudio and use "Tools >> burn from disc image(ISO)" to burn your DVD which should now work fine.
