Reset the Application runs every time I start X6 from ACDSee

Post by foxyrick »

There is a glitch in starting PSP X6 to edit an image from ACDSee Pro 7 - PSP's "Reset the Application" runs every time it starts.

It wouldn't be such an issue if I didn't have to regularly close PSP in order to get it to speed up again, or if the 'Reset the Application' dialogue actually showed on top of the other open windows, instead of opening and hiding itself behind them all.

Starting PSP by clicking 'Edit' on an image in Windows' Explorer does not start the 'Rest the Application' dialogue.

I've looked at how ACDSee runs PSP, and the command looks identical to how Explorer runs it as above. I cannot see how ACDSee passes the filename parameter though. This does not happen with PSP X4 which was installed previously on this PC and is still installed on my laptop so I think it is more likely an issue in PSP than ACDSee.

Has anyone else seen something like this? It's starting to irritate me enough to spend time writing about it, .
