Music in Corel Video Studio Pro "Copyright Issue"

I just purchased Corel Video Studio Pro. I edited a video and uploaded it to youtube. Youtube says I have a copyright issue because of the music I used. Well the music I used as background was from Corel Studio that came with the product I installed on my computer. I did a chat with Corel, but they have not answered my question. The lady I chatted with had no idea about that. She gave me a registration number so that I could get a hold of tech, but every time I try that number they say it’s invalid. Also she said they would e-mail me. So far no e-mail. So my question is. Can I use this music that came with the program without violating copyright?

In a word, yes. If the music is either the from the selection of pre-set background type music used in menus which comes as an integral part of the program, or the SmartSound QuickTracks (or any other SmartSound music e.g. from SmartSound's stand-alone SonicFire Pro software) it is copyright free and can be used without licensing issues. I suspect many of our users do this every day without any problem from YouTube -- unless YouTube is currently carrying out random checks...

All of the music tracks are royalty free that comes with Videostudio. They are free to use with any project under the GPL from SmartSound in agreement with Corel. The claim you received was unwarranted and false.
