Pleased to report that for me, issue is now resolved, Vitascene Transition now available and fully functional :D :D :D

But I went through a lot of hoops to achieve it, ProDAD kept sending me links to a new version of the Corel plugin (2.0224.1), stating that it did not need an activation key to install, but every time I tried to install, it asked for a key, yet ProDAD kept saying it didn't need one, in the end they stopped responding.
So what I did was, to extract the contents of the new plugin with WinZip, opened the folder called Current to confirm its contents, then navigated to C:Program Files(x86).ProDAD.Vitascene and deleted the contents of the Current Folder, then copied and pasted the contents from the new version.
Launched VSX6 and much to my surprise, the Vitascene Transition was available, however when I tried to use the Transition by clicking on customize filter, all the transitions had an Error against each filter. Next step was to reinstall the Vitascene plugin from the Bonus Pack, over the top of the new version.
Launched VSX6, Vitascene Transition still available and all ProDAD transitions are available in customize filter and fully functional.

Thanks for that Robert. I'm sure those with a similar problem would love to have that link to the new version of the plug-in so that they could follow your method...

Thanks for the post Robert. As a matter of fact, Corel Tech sent me the info you posted. I tried it without success. I will try it again in the future, but when I did try it, Vitascene in my other NLE's was overwritten and I had to reinstall Vitascene again. I did it without checkmarking for Corel.

As posted before, I love a lot of the Vitascene transitions, but it isn't a "life or death" situation within VSP X6U for me.
Dogged determination wins again! I had a problem getting Graffiti installed in X4U. Tech took over the computer and couldn't figure out why it would not work. I did some more searching and resolved the issue myself.

Just thought I would add myself to the list of users with the same problem. I have Pinnacle studio 17 ultimate, corel X6 ultimate pro and premiere pro CS5. Purchased vitascene 2.0 for the pinnacle usage. It works fine in premier pro and pinnacle but as with the problems discussed no transitions in the VS X6. I believe the problem is a corel issue but am not holding my breathe for a resolution.

The solutions given to me by Corel, while didn't work for me (and there is one more step for me to try, but I am not willing to commit to it yet), what they did do it trash the PS16/17 Vitascene where I had to reinstall it again without selecting VSP as an installation destination. Early on in my trying to get Vitascene to work within Corel, I did run my V2 version and selected it to install into Corel Transitions. It did install (verified by looking the the Corel folder for transitions), but it did not work. No Vitascene transitions only. It showed up fine in the FX, so the folder was properly installed. I could see the Transitions and even if I wanted, to use them as a FX. It was not a problem of Vitascene not being accessed at all by VSP, but transitions were not showing. And this seems to be a problem not only for one or two of us either. Again, I had Vitascene with VSP X4U, but not X5 or now X6.

I use basic cuts and fades in editing. But there are times where Vitascene provides the perfect transition. They are great and professional looking. But that does not take away the functionality of VSP X6U with it's subtitle, motion tracking, Graffiti and other features.

Just as a sort of footnote to this thread, I have just installed X6 on a virgin installation of Windows 8.1 (i.e. new hard drive, installed Win 8.1 directly without first installing Win 8 and updating.) There were no other Corel products on this computer (in fact very little of anything except Windows!) FWIW, Vitascene -- both filter and transitions -- appeared straight off and both work just fine. Full range of customisable transitions. And this is a totally different computer from the one in my Profile. So once again I am in the "lucky" group which does not have these problems...

Ken, I am familiar with having the same success with other programs while other people have not. I don't loose any sleep over this, and Corel is now sending some files to proDAD to look at. Everything else works fine. I'm a cross dissolve, fade, cut type person when editing.

I normally only use the crossfade transition, but probably less than 5% of the time, I use another transition to create a particular effect. And the Vitascene ones I find to be quite professional in their presentation.

So, what does that indicate Ken, a possible conflict somewhere, but that normally only happens if you have other programs using similar .dlls and as I did not have any other ProDAD programs installed (I do now) I don't see how that is possible. Currently I am preparing this computer for a complete reinstall of the OS, making sure that everything I need is properly backed up and copied to my external drives, taking longer than usual, because I now have three backups of everthing, once had a situation where I only had one backup and both the OS and the backup crashed at the same time, leaving me with nothing.
When I do the OS reinstall I will install VS first, see if that makes a difference, if it does install correctly, then I will check after each program is reinstalled to see if I can find a culprit.

Thanks Robert, much appreciate the update. I am still working with Corel on this one. I copied some proDAD files for them and they are sending them off to proDAD to have a look. I have other proDAD software installed. Vitascene v1 is one of those programs, along with Vitascene 2.
While it isn't a "deal breaker", it would be nice to be able to use it when needed. And even installing v2 and including the transitions for Corel (which it does see in the installation), it still doesn't work. That, in spite of it being in the proper folder location for VSP. So I am at a loss, and I think Corel tech support is too. It's one of those things that just "happens" and no one can explain it.
Rest of the program does work fine though.

Thanks for reporting back Robert. I think that for me, it will remain broke in X6U. Oh well. Now.. about X7U 64bit. Is it "faster"? Any noticeable performance differences? Thanks!

Shouldn't you be asking this in the Pinnacle forum?
