1303 Error upon install of PSP X6

I have been trying for several days to install PSP X6 with no luck and a great deal of frustration.

I get the following: Error 1303. The installer has insufficient privileges to access this directory: C:\ProgramData\Corel\Corel PaintShop Pro X6. The installation cannot continue. Log on as an administrator or contact your system administrator.

Well, I am the administrator and I have sufficient privileges. I cannot figure out what to do. I have asked several times for Corel Support with no luck. There seems to be none. I purchased the product on Nov 29th and still don't have it installed.

I have Windows 7 and normally I have no problems installing any software. This is the first time I have run into a wall.

I am not sure what info is needed about my system since I filled out the data whatever when I registered.
I would certainly appreciate anyones help and I am going crazy.

I get the same result. I even created a new adminstrator account, ran it with admin privelages and get the same issue. Have no idea how to resolve. Can someone from support review?

Sorry you are having problems installing the program.

The forums are run by volunteers, doubtful that any Corel Employees will read your post.
Corel do however use Facebook, as far as I know do reply to your queries.

Try downloading the file again just in-case you have a corrupt file.
Right click the file and Run as Administrator, does that make a difference

If only Volunteers run this site, why in the hell does it exists? I'm fed up with Corel, I have the same problem, and after weeks they finally remote accessed my PC, installed it themselves and 2 days later, it returned to the 1303 error. I purchased Cyberlink, bunch on New Blue efx, and that installed in a jiffy. And I watched as they did their remote thang and filmed it. He downloaded a Clean install program to wipe out ALL traces of VS7, then he downloaded it again, cause mayB mine was damaged, he went into program files, created a folder named CorelVideo Studio Ultimate VX7, took ownership of it, installed it there, and it finally worked, next day I opened it, and the same BS happened. Now they want me to pay so a 2nd tier tech can do the work AGAIN.. Buy something else that the makers stand buy no matter how long you have it.

Because many people find answers to their problems or are able to learn from the advice they get here.

Sorry to hear you have such problems. The majority of PSP users are able to install and use the program without issues but with computer systems so complicated and so many alternatives of operating systems, hardware and software the components do interfere with each other. In an ideal world Corel would have bags of money and could spend it on solving such problems. How much does PSP X6 cost?
