Background Transparency

Post by inycar »

Hi there.
I've been choosing different transitions for clips in overlay tracks. All of them applies the effect without transparency. I really don' t like the white, black or wathever color while playing transitions. It's better for me to see the crossfade between both clips directly. Background settings (in Preferences) allow to change color but not choosing transparency. Is there some way to get it? I'm using Corel VideoStudio X6 Pro 16.1.0.45 Ultimate.

Thanks.

I am not at all sure what you are looking for in a transition - a transition is merely a way of changing from one clip to the next by a variety of means such as fade or slide etc. - where do you want the transparency to appear and what do you expect to see through it.

Hi Brian.
I agree with you about the transition concept and use. The fade change from one clip to next, but, depending on the choosen background color (see Preferences), that color puts on top of layers, blocking the sight of layer underneath. It happens suddenly, despite of extending the transition time. I found the key is in the background color, not the transition by itself. If there would be a transparency option when selecting background, the transition would take place the same way, but instead of the white or black color, we could see the lower clip fading.
Thanks again.
