I purchased the upgrade to DVD Movie Factory 4 Disk Creator and also purchased an Osprey 300 capture card. When I try to use the Capture formats DVD-HQ, DVD-HQ, or DVD-SP, I get a popup that says "This format template is not supported. it will use the default format", and then the program defaults to MPEG format. It will let me select DVD-LP, however the quality is not what I want for a finished DVD. Is this an Osprey driver problem or a Movie Factory problem?
Ideas???

That is a really nice capturing card.
You may have to "Change the capture Plug-in" and see if the Osprey
driver is in the list. Otherwise choose the Mpeg plugin for analog capture.
Then select "Mpeg" or "Dvd" as the format. You can customize the
capture settings under "Advanced Settings" (in the capture screen click on
the down arrow to display more information).
Are you trying to capture via the dv1394 interface or the analog interface?
With MovieFactory each one uses a different capturing plug-in.
If the card came with any other capturing software usually it's best to use
that software to capture with and then import the video into MovieFactory.
That card uses hardware compression.
Nice card.
I thought the card came with Adobe Premier. Adobe usually captures DV
only but if you want to capture analog in Adobe you can purchase the
"MainConcepts" plugin and edit Mpeg2 files directly.
Hope this helps,
MD

I've tried that too.You may have to "Change the capture Plug-in"
I've tried Ulead DSW MPEG Capture Plug-in which only lets me choose MPEG or DVD-LP. If I choose HQ, SP, etc, it says it's not a supported template and defaults to MPEG.
Then I tried changing to the Ulead Directshow Capture Plug-in.
It does the same thing.
