I am making a new computer for video editing.. The parts i have selected are below.. I want to know is this computer powerful enough for using VideoStudio x6?
Processor - Intel i3 3220
Mobo - Intel 75 Motherboard
Graphic Card - 1 Gb
Ram - 4 Gb x2
1 Tb HDD and the basic stuff!!

The easiest way is to go to the Corel site and look at the system requirements for running VS6 under the advert for Videostudio. (this is what I did) As long as your kit is as good or better than the spec then VS6 should run OK. The spec of my PC is shown on the side panel.
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not so sure.

Usually, it depends on the type of files you want to edit. If you are working with HD files, you need a strong computer for the faster rendering. AVCHD files stress computer along with HD .mov files.
As a rule of thumb, get the most powerful computer you can buy. Right now, a lot of rendering is done by the CPU along with some help with the GPU.
Then, with X6, you can choose Proxy editing. I don't and move right along in my editing. My computer can keep up.
