Unable to edit layer in X6

Post by pixelblu »

I've come across an issue using X6 I haven't seen before. After working on a multi-layer pspimage file, saving it and reloading I can no longer edit one of the raster layers. When the layer is selected with the pick tool it shows the circle with line when mousing over. It was not merged or locked so not sure what's causing this and never came across this with any of the previous PSP versions I've used.

Thanks for any help.

PSP X6 16.1.0.48

UPDATE: Tried making sure it was the top layer and still could not edit the layer. I then made all the other layers invisible and at that point it would allow editing the image. Is there some hidden feature in X6 I'm missing or is this a quirk? :?

I'm not going to be much help to you here, but I have no problem with reoping a PspImage and editing any layers with a multi-layer image.

Are you saving the image from X6 or trying to open an older PspImage creating in an older version that hasn't been saved correctly?

This problem you are having has never been raised during beta testing.

May I suggest you hold the Shift key when opening PSP to restore it to default then try with the multi-layer image again.

It sounds more like you have a glitch somewhere.

Maybe someone else will come along who may have a better idea.

Thanks for the response...I never did find out what caused it. It did it in both X5 and X6 with that file so It looks like it was something with that image file and not the PSP version.
