New computer

Post by brucet »

I'm considering replacing my travel laptop with a new shiny one. Black Friday left overs!
Question - What is the easiest, (read idiot proof), way of getting my Corel products, (PSPx6 and ASP), onto the new computer? Do I simply copy across the downloaded file and install on the new laptop? If so what about my serial numbers.

I don't want to be on the road with a new computer and no Corel software.

Regards

The EULA for PSP allows you to install it on up to 3 separate computers, though you are only supposed to operate one at a time... So there should be no trouble installing it on the new laptop. (But if you already have it installed on 3 other computers, better look out for the EULA police!!!  )

I am not sure about ASP, though think it would be the same as for PSP. Unfortunately, I cannot check its EULA off hand as my copy of the program is on a computer which currently won't start up. It's booked in for service tomorrow.

Thanks Ken. I'm aware of the number of computers etc. What I'm looking for is a simple way of loading my Corel products onto a new computer. This involves the serial number plus my settings/presets/workspaces/frames etc.
So can I copy the Corel folders and continue working?

regards

You must still install on the new computer from your download, however you can transfer your Brushes tubes etc from your other computer to the appropriate new areas on the new computer.
You cannot just copy across your Corel Program folder as that does not copy across the settings in the registry.
Systems available Win7, Win 8.1,Win 10 Version 1607 Build 14393.2007 & version 20H2 Build 19042.867
