DVD Slide show in VS9 !
Hi
A wedding couple has posted the pictures of their wedding in Internet and my friend wanted me to make a DVD with music. He wanted to give this DVD as a surprise gift.
There are more than 400 pictures. The file is in jpg format at file size ranging from 3KB to 6KB. I clicked on idividual clips and chose "save picture as".
Question 1:
Is there a better way to download (from internet) them in batches instead of individual pictures ?
Question2
When I import them to VS9, the pictures look very pixalated. Is there anything I can do to enhance the quality.
I thank all those who contribute valuable information.

Hello George
I just tried to "copy" the picture instead of "save picture as". I then pasted in photoshop with the dimension 640x480.
The reult was amazing. I chose the dimension as 640x480 and now the file size is 73KB.
I will be spending hours together to copy from the internet and then go to photoshop and paste them. Is there a better way to do ?
Please help !!!!!!!!!

Originally you only downloaded the "Thumbnails" which are very small
framesize. They are only links to the large picture.
After you open up the full picture (640 size) by clicking on the thumbnail
then after the larger picture has appeared you should be able to right-click on
it and select "Save As".
Then save the large file to your harddisk.
Copy and paste also works but may be a slower method.
Hope this helps,

Vasan,
You do not have to pre-size still pictures before inserting them into the Video Studio timeline because VS will do that automatically. However, I have noticed that I get the best resolution when the pictures are in a 4:3 aspect ratio and are inserted into the timeline at full resolution.
Set the Image Resampling Option to "Keep Aspect Ratio" and Resampling Quality to "Best" in File menu: Preferences/Edit tab.

You can use Ulead PhotoExplorer, where it can automatically download all images to your HD from the specified weblink and sublinks and can filter specific file size ranges and file types, etc.
