Help with Ultimate X6 Creative Collection
I downloaded the X6 Ultimate and have a Creative Collection with it. I installed it but can not find most of the stuff anywhere. I have checked posts and looked everywhere on my machine and the only thing I can find is some brushes when I open my paint brush and then a few textures.
There is only about 10 picture tubes when I open the tube tool. I have read posts yesterday and it seems like others have had this trouble also. Oh yes I did find some backgrounds also.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I would like to see these tubes with this collection.

Re: Help with Ultimate X6 Creative Collection
You get the Creative Content which contains the extra brushes , picture tubes normally found in Paintshop pro by registering, logging in and then downloading that from your profile area on the Corel site.
The Creative Collection comes only when you purchase the Ultimate version - the ultimate refers to this extra content - KPT filters backgrounds etc.
The Creative Collection has background pictures and one of them is CGS31868.jpg so if you do a windows search for that image then you will locate the Creative Collection backgrounds / designs if you have them installed.

Re: Help with Ultimate X6 Creative Collection
Thank you for your reply. I did find the backgrounds and textures. I just assumed the picture tubes would be in a tubes folder to see. I have always bought the disk before and now this is a download I got this time. I assume I have to save this download file to a flash to save it if I need to reinstall again. This download is the Ultimate X6
Before when you would go to your program files on your computer and go to corel you would find all the stuff that corel has there for you already but now they must of changed that as I don't see that like in the older versions. I can not even find where they have the 10 tubes that come with the program or the brushes or anything.
When I purchased the X4 I got the KPT collection and have not even done anything with it yet. I am assuming that when I install it the plugins will show up in the plugins folder.
I had such a hard time when I bought my X4 and registered it my password would not work and I could not get back in to my account to ask questions. I found it terribly confusing and just finally gave up trying to get in.

Re: Help with Ultimate X6 Creative Collection
From what you say it appears that you have the KPT collection with X4. I suspect that the KPT folder is in C:\Program Files (x86)\Corel\Corel PaintShop Pro X4\PlugIns\EN. You may want to use Explorer to confirm that the KPT folder is there.carlynn_15 wrote: When I purchased the X4 I got the KPT collection and have not even done anything with it yet. In X6 go to Preferences/File locations and scroll down the list to plug-ins. Click on Add and then when the window pops up find you way to the directory for X4 plugins just mentioned. You should now have the default file reference and the one you just added in the window. Go to Edit/Effects/Plugins and KPT should show up there. Note: you use KPT only in the 32 bit version, just as you can use the perfectly clear plugin only in the 64 bit version.
I think when I went from X4 to X5 I moved the Plugins folder from its location in X4 to X5 and it worked fine there - that's where it is now and is available in X6.

It is a good idea to save all your program downloads and make an offline backup just in case Murphy's Law strikes. Also in case you are upgrading computer, changing computer, lost computer etc.carlynn_15 wrote: I have always bought the disk before and now this is a download I got this time. Re: Help with Ultimate X6 Creative Collection
Kathy: I do not have program data under C: I only have program files and program files (x86) I went in to them and there is a corel folder but I find a plug in folder but the other folders do not contain any of the psp supplies you get with the program.
When I look in program files in other versions of psp I have folders from corel_1 to corel_15 with the program supplies but I do not have that in X6 Ultimate.
I am using using windows 7 Ultimate.
When I go to users public pictures I see a backgrounds folder with some of the textures and some backgrounds but not very many. No tubes of any sort there.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that folder is usually hidden. Here's instructions on how to unhide it. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/wind ... =windows-7
Once you do that you should be able to find your files here C:\ProgramData\Corel\Corel PaintShop Pro X6

Re: Help with Ultimate X6 Creative Collection
Hi Kathy:
Thanks for your reply. I searched last night till I went to bed and did find out about the hidden files. Tried about 10 different thing I found and finally I got.
Now here is the strange thing. I have windows 8 on a new laptop and I tried that it and worked and I could see the program data folder.
Well this morning I go to my desktop that has win 7 ultimate on it and do the same thing and there is no program data there when I unhide the folders.
Don't know what to try next so strange this is.

That is strange. I'm not sure why the folder is not showing for you. I'm assuming you searched via Windows Explorer. If so, what happens when you click the Start button and copy and paste this in the search box?

Re: Help with Ultimate X6 Creative Collection
That should put you inside Program Data so you won't see the folder itself. Do you see a Corel folder? If so, open that and look for the PSP X6 folder. It contains the files you were looking for.

Re: Help with Ultimate X6 Creative Collection
Just an update on my problem. I have finally found the program data folder after restarting my machine this morning.
I still can not find the tubes in the program data folder. There is folders there and the corel tube folder only has 10 tubes in it.
I sent a message to corel to see where the tubes are hidden. I find some textures and backgrounds in the users/public pictures folder but not very many to make up 435 mb. Very frustrating why could corel not of had instructions on where they are instead of making people do all this searching. Makes me what to try out the Photo shop Elements, very frustrating. I have spent hrs trying to resolve this when they could of made it so easy. NOT a very good way to please your faithful customers that purchase all your versions.

Re: Help with Ultimate X6 Creative Collection
Carlynn:
If your collections stuff downloaded correctly your picture tubes should be in C:\ProgramData\Corel\Corel PaintShop Pro X6\Corel_10. I have a bunch of sub-directories labelled Corel_10_01, Corel_10_02, etc up to Corel_10_15, each containing a number of tubes.
Have you checked in the menu under File/Preferences/File Locations and then selected Picture Tubes? When you do you should see C:\ProgramData\Corel\Corel PaintShop Pro X6\Corel_10 as one of the locations. If not, add it (click on add then browse through the tree structure to it.
