Browsing Tutorial Videos from the Welcome Screen

I can't get the browsing of video tutorials from the Welcome Screen to work. It just keeps saying "Please Relink to specific folder or Insert the CD labelled Bonus CD".

I have the PI-10 ESD download version, and have separately downloaded the tutorial videos; but even though I HAVE relinked to the folder containing the downloaded files, I still keep getting this error message.

What gives? Is the program looking for a specific filename (the DL files are called pix_tut_ch01.avi etc).

Try installing the update patch. You can get it from the PhotoImpact section of the Ulead website.

There might be corrupt files on your PhotoImpact program files folder. You can try reinstalling PhotoImpact. But if I were you, I'd just watch the tutorials by doubleclicking the video files.

Simple thing to do and you won't have problems to worry about...

Yeah

I've created a backup CD with all my downloaded files including the AVI video tutorials, and am watching them from there. Keeps the hard disk usage down a bit.

I'm not worried overly about the welcome screen option not working (since I've now disabled its appearance everytime the program starts); but I did just wonder whether there was a simple, known fix for the problem.

The video tutorials have to be unzipped in its AVI form into a local directory on your hard drive then relinked from there. This is just what you need to consider. If this doesn't work as you said then it's really better to open it directly with Windows Explorer...hehe

This problem does not occur for everybody and I don't think that this is that serious of a problem for Ulead to release a patch or fix for it.
