Hi,
I'm using VS Pro X5 and have created two adjacent title clips that comprise a title for a project. I'd like to save the two title clips as one title in MyFavorites but haven't found a way to do it. Is there a process to do this or do I have to save each title clip separately in MyFavorites? Thanks in advance for your help.
Gary

I have never found a way to save two titles as one - but if you want two lots of text which crossfade with each other why not make it as just one title - why have two titles if you only want one ?

Hi
What Brian describes is called Multiple Titles, the option is selected by default.
If you have two titles on different tracks but covering the same frames, instead create a single clip
Double click the screen to input your first text, the double click again to create another text box within the same clip.
Each text box can have different animations applied.

Re: Can I Save Two Title Clips As One In MyFavorites?
Brian and Trevor,
I'm aware of the Multiple Titles option and have it selected. I tried to use it, but because of limitations with zoom animation I had to create two title clips on the same track. I want one line of the title to have a zoom start of 0 and a zoom end of 2.5 and remain at 2.5 for x seconds while the second line of the title appears. I could not find a way to use delay with zoom animation.
To do what I wanted I created a title clip with only the first title line and set zoom animation to start at 0 and end at 2.5. I made a copy of the clip and placed the copy on the same title track next to the first clip. In the second clip I adjusted the zoom animation for the first title line to start and end at 2.5, which keeps the first title line the same size throughout the clip . I added my second title line to the second clip then edited and set animation for the second title line. Now the entire title plays as I wanted. If there is another way to do this, please let me know. I did a search of the forum and found a suggestion similar to what I did.
I'd like to save what I created for future use in MyFavorites as one title clip. Because there are two title clips it appears I have to save each one. I used the SHIFT key to select both clips, but when I do it, the Add to MyFavorites icon is no longer highlighted. The only alternative I see is to save the two title clips as a project, and anytime I want to use this format for a title of another project I would open the project and save it as a new name. Do you know of something that would help with my title creation or saving what I created?

Hi Gary
Can you zip the VSP—project file and attach to your post.
Attachment options at bottom of your post.
Then we can upload and see exactly what you have created.
We can then try to combine to one clip?
To save as a project may be the best option.
But as an alternative you can save as Instant Project the new file will be available to use from the Instant Projects library Custom section.

Trevor,
Because it appears that there is no other way to do what I wanted I decided to create an Instant Project, and I also saved the two title clips as a project.

Re: Can I Save Two Title Clips As One In MyFavorites?
Hi Gary
First apologies for missing your post containing the attachment,
I have had a look and now realise you are using two clips to complete the title effect.
The first Jessica clip zooms into 2.5 that is zooming in a little to far as the text is leaving the safe area, the rectangle showing on screen, any detail outside this may be lost when viewing the video on tv, certainly Jessica will be squashed to the top of the screen with half missing. Unfortunately you wont see that till you play on tv, a little late then.
Try this.........
Increase the Jessica font size from 44 to 90 ish
Change the Zoom to use Start 0 end 1.0 , the characters will then stay on screen.
I would then copy the second clip to create a third, changing the animation to Fade Out for both text.
Saving the titles, drag to the library
Save them as VSP
Save as instant project would allow you to add the effect to any new project.
Again apologies for the delay in replying.
