A question that someone may be able to check for me.
I'm using x6-SP1. Miss my zoom Corel!!!
But I'm having another issue.
When I use a tool, such as the Clone tool, I'm losing my last action when I go back to the Pan tool.
ie, I do several cloning actions. Then click on the Pan Tool. (I always sit on the Pan tool when other tools are not in use. It's my 'home base'). But the very last Clone will vanish. I've noticed this a few times with the crop tools as well as a few other tools. The last action is ignored. (I have had a few crops that have also vanished when I've gone back to the Pan Tool).
Any clues as to what is happening? Me or that darn SP1.
regards
Another SP1 question!!!

Re: Another SP1 question!!!
I'm curious if you are seeing this all the time or if it is random. The reason I ask is that I have seen that same behavior but only once. It had me questioning my sanity.
I have also seen the following issues; some reproducible and others random:
I have also seen the following issues; some reproducible and others random:
- 1. applied a single brush stroke and when I hit undo only half the brush stroke was removed -- random issue
2. applied preset shape and it was visible in the layers palette but invisible in the work area -- random issue
3. the zooming issue that everyone has noticed -- reproducible
4. open new blank image (any color) and it will flash black before showing the color you selected; only happens if no other images are open and you are using tabbed documents -- reproducible

Re: Another SP1 question!!!
No it's all random. Sometimes if I do a zoom in or zoom out the 'missing' edit appears!!!
eg. if I clone something out all is ok. Then if I go to the Pan tool the clone is missing. On zooming in or out the cloned edit re appears!
Sometimes I have noticed a cloned out section reappears! Almost as though I have use the right hand mouse button. I thought it was me but I'm not that dumb. Am I????
Seems x6-SP1 has a number of issues. I wanted to go home. Back to x6 pre SP-1.
Corel, this will be the last time I ever jump on new updates. It's simply not worth the interruption to my workflow.

Re: Another SP1 question!!!
I seem to remember something like this in previous versions. Having to zoom in and out to see a change. I guessed it was something to do with the refresh rate of the program. Similar to what you get with some adjustments and effects. Sometimes the adjustment/effect seems to update with every minir change , other times yoy are waiting for it to update.
I avoid having changes to my workflow by maintaining a number of versions of PSP on my computers.
People seem to be complaining a lot about the SP1 and that they cannot install it on a (I am guessing ) properly functioning X6. Question that needs to be asked , 'Do you really need the SP1 immediately?'.
For me the only reason for using the SP1 update was to fix the image extractor component, but but I can still use that in X5 or X4 so there is no need to update to a buggy SP1. ie I do not use it enough to require the fix straight away.
For some of the previous versions although I downloaded the SPs 1-3 I did not install them til 2 or 3 months later allowing some time for correction and settling and after reading the forums about possible problems.
According to the Corel site SP1 addressed:
*Windows 8.1 fully compatibility
*RAW support for more cameras
*Enhanced support for high-resolution displays
*Improved overall stability and fixes applied to a number of areas
So unless you were using Windows 8, or a camera whose RAW was not suported or were regularly using X6 for one of those areas where it was unstable then there should be no rush to install SP1.
Congratulations to those brave enough to try these things early and give the rest of us some warning about possible problems.
