PSP X6: bad parameters

Post by spearcarrier »

I just installed the trial version of X6. My hope? It's enough of a competition with ... that other program... that I can go back to being a primary PSP user instead of being forced to use... that other program.. the way I have been being forced to do. I don't want to. I love Corel. I have always loved Corel. My love runs deep and strong and burns so brightly!

Anyway, there are a lot of things about X6 that I am happy over! The selection tools have much improved, and selection tools are a large part of what I do. I haven't gotten to play with other things.

But I am also sad. Having to have two versions and switch back and forth to use my plugins, which I use a lot, is more than inconvenient. It's annoying.

And one of the plugins won't go at all. It keeps "passing bad parameters".

This is the part that I remember it's working find in... that other program... but it won't work in PSP. I'm not sure why. Other 8bf plugins are working. And it's such a handy little thing too.

So my joy has turned to disappointment. I want further away from that other program, but I guess that won't happen today. Maybe I'll upgrade to X6, but if I have to switch back and forth like musical chairs just to get work done probably not. But anyway: I searched for fixes and suggestions and found nothing? Hoping for input.

This problem occurs in X6-32-bit?
The plugins, which are mostly 32-bit, won't work in X6-64-bit.

Assuming you have installed the 32-bit version, you'll need to tweak the Data Execution Prevention:

I did that and all the plugins work fine.
Hope that's what you're after.
Keep carrying that spear :-)
