We got similar report and most case is due to downloaded package isn't completed. It may cause by ISP, network quality or sever status. Please give it a trying again and I assume the problem will be resolved. :)
Well, Joseph as you can see from the comments here the problem is not solved, to the great frustration of the people on this board and those that are having the problem and don't know about this discussion.

Since Corel seems not to care about solving this issue I would like to ask if I download the trial version now will it already include SP1? I can then remove the current install, activate the download trial then put in my serial number to get it working.

Will that work?

Hi to all with that error 1935.

I don't think this problem is not related to the SP 1 problem (called CRC error which normally comes with error 2345).

This problem seems to be related to

a.) Symantex believes that "anti spy ware software is installed and running" http://www.symantec.com/business/suppor ... =TECH46218
b.) seems to be related to MSXML
http://www.bing.com/search?q=%7B5617BF4 ... &sp=-1&sk=

however, I tend to share an impression I got with 2 other customers.

c.) It seems that Microsoft has pulled out to many different versions of Visual Studio, which are now in conflict with each other, the older and the new ones.

A customer of mine simple removed all VSC++ and installed all of them (2005 to the latest one) taken from the MS website and suddenly it worked.

Thanks, but none of that seemed to address my problem. Or should I say Corel's problem. I have been installing and updating Print Shop Pro for YEARS and never had this problem with any of the updates.

I am very frustrated. I sure wish Corel would address this or give us a work around.

@Flyingwriter

Sorry for not answering your problem. I came from the other side (error 1935) to this topic.
If you have got another problem, send me your Corel PIN or registered e-mail address as private mail and I will contact you.

For all with that "CRC ... cab error":
Please download this SP 1 from my FTP account. It works as here confirmed and I myself installed it several times (like yesterday on Win8.1).
Copy line into address-bar of your browser and hit Enter.

SP1:
ftp://coreluser-d:corel'02@emeaftp.core ... X6_SP1.exe

and the hotfix for zoom problem:
ftp://coreluser-d:corel'02@emeaftp.core ... Hotfix.exe

Tip for all: Did you buy a download version?
If yes, you can download again the program from your order on Corel.com. This PSPX6_PF.exe contains already SP 1. I recommend to keep that version for future installations.

I had the same problem. Installation kept hanging when it was checking C++ (or something similar) near the beginning. When looking for a solution, I came across the same error 1935 with a similar error box message on the Microsoft website for VC++ (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/970652). I installed the update for that and then PaintShop Pro installed just fine. Suggests it might be more a Microsoft problem, rather than a Corel problem (maybe. Or perhaps an inter-company conspiracy).

I had error 1835 and then error 1935 while trying to install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 software needed to complete the install of Corel VideoStudio Pro X6. I eventually found the following explanation by a person named MarkDS_958. It fixed my problem:

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/wind ... 1832104041

Here is the text from that link by MarkDS_958:
I had this issue and all the steps described in this and other internet posts led me to a dead end of errors.
However, I then discovered that somehow almost all my services had gotten reset to "disabled". This was causing my original problems (network connectivity among them) and this problems.
Changing the services settings fixed my problems
To get to services type services in the search programs box on the start menu, then right click to run it as administrator.

What we found out in this context "Error 1935 when installing a SP for PSP" is that when error code begins with {303994BA-....}, then it seems to be a MSXML problem. There is obviously on that system a parser version of MSXML that causes a problem for Windows.
The error {5617BF49-} is normally for Defender software unless there is no MSXML parser version installed.

For all who can't install the current SPs for PSPX6, please contact your support team and we can provide you a solution.
