Window Around Photo Size Issue

Received this from Coral. Now I am no computer whiz, so option one seems way out of my expertise so think I will wait for option 2, if they are in fact doing an upgrade soon.

With regard to your concern, the reason why we need to verify your Corel PaintShop Pro X6 product build version is because there is a current issue with the recently released service pack 1 for Corel PaintShop Pro X6 which when installed updates the program's build version to 16.1.0.48 x64, kindly refer to the link below for more information.

Two temporary solutions are proposed, .....
••• Solution One •••
(1) Remove Corel PaintShop Pro X6
(2) Reinstall the product etc. ...
••• Solution Two •••
(1) Do not install the service pack.
(2) Wait until the new version for a couple of days and re-download it again.

Corel have now changed the upgrade installer accordingly and released the new version.

Can I just clarify something? The above from Corel refers to the inability to upgrade to PSP X6 SP1 for 64-bit-only PSP X6 Ultimate users, and does NOT refer to the Window Around Photo Size Issue.
As discussed in http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php ... 60#p278725 Corel will issue a hotfix direct to PSP X6 SP1 for the zooming issue.
We will receive a message in PSP X6 SP1 when this hotfix is available.

I've used Pro 5 and an older version 3 for years and was familiar with the auto sizing of the window/image in Edit. The settings in Pro 6 are exactly the same, so the fact that it won't re-size the same indicates a minor glitch in the code. Hopefully, they will correct this "bug" with the next update. In the meantime I'll live with it or go back to my Pro 5 and wait!

check the date of this first post, was promised a fix in 2 days, believe its been over a week now. nice ploy on a cheap company to stall long enough to not offer refund, even when I asked. guess it credit card calling time
