Hi,
Strange question, but....
Can I link files from 2 different locations. i.e Music, Clips on a server while running the application from 2 different computers?
The reason is, i want to work on both and have it so that if need, I can take my Laptop and show the progress to others.
If it proves too awkward then I'll just run it on the Laptop.
Thanks

You may have to add the raw files to your laptop. The edit file .vsp is a pointer and controller for the original video and audio files so those files need to be available and connected to the .vsp file. I usually presume that all the available files at the capture stage will stay with the project to the end of the work. If you break the link between the original files and the .vsp project files, you will be as ked to re-link them.
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not so sure.

Thanks,
I was thinking of leaving the files on the server and pointing the program to them, but wondering about it locating the links.
Hmmm, I'll give it a go, if it becomes a bit of a pain, i'll just use the Laptop.
Thanks again

Hi
I think it should work, but you would have to re-link, if all files are in the same folder that would be one re-link, but if in separate folders may take a while to re-link.
Your best option is to create a Smart Package, this copies all clips used in the project to a single folder, choose to save to USB memory stick and you can take it with you, You will have to re-link but only once.

Fantastic Lata,
or an external USB hard drive which would allow more capacity.
