PSP vX5 Slow Opening

I have had PSP X5 since shortly after it came out. I rarely use it because it is very confusing after working in v9 for many years. I have finally decide I just need to jump in with both feet & do this. I have 2 questions. My first is why is X5 so slow in opening up. I have never had any version of PSP to be so slow opening. The second is I make new customized toolbars that work for me & save the workspace, however when I open it up the new toolbars are there but not in the position I saved the. What am I doing wrong?

X5 is a larger program than PSP9 and has a few more "features". How slow is X5 for you?
On my XP home system it takes 34 seconds to open up the workspace and is active by 52 seconds. This is opening in Edit mode.
After closing , when I reopen it takes about 5-6 seconds to open and be active at almost the same time.
Re your customised toolbars, have you docked these or are they floating. I think the workspace saves (have not tested this) only apply to docked palettes and toolbars.
