ASP Support for Olympus OM-D E-M1 RAW Files
Is Olympus OM-D E-M1 Camera support planned for the next release and is there anything we users can do to advance camera RAW support inbetween releases (since releases seem to be VERY slow), like sending in sample images at different ISO's for analysis?

I will need that soon, too. And the camera is on back order in my whole country, so there will be probably more users soon.

Since I´m upgrading right now from my E-3s to 2 EM-1s I do need support for the EM-1 as well and I know of quite a few out there that need it too
The E-3s will go on sale asap so I am left with jpg only for the time being.

Yes, just got my E-M1...need ASP to support the RAW format. LightRoom now has a release candidate out that supports E-M1. Please don't force me to switch to LR.

E-M1 is selling very well, I just got mine and I need the asp support. I tried to change the exif from e-m1 to e-m5 and it works fine but this isn't a solution!

How did you change the EXIF? In the Camera? Or did you edit the RAW files and change it?mauro wrote:E-M1 is selling very well, I just got mine and I need the asp support. I tried to change the exif from e-m1 to e-m5 and it works fine but this isn't a solution!
Re: ASP Support for Olympus OM-D E-M1 RAW Files
Update: After I had uploaded a group of pictures most of them became "bluish", similar to avatar movie!
Changing the exif into E-M5 is not a good solution.

No response from Corel? Not even an announcement or statement of intention? You lost a customer, Corel. LR is 40% off today and already fully supports the M1.

Re: ASP Support for Olympus OM-D E-M1 RAW Files
I've downloaded the LR 5.3 RC that has the EM-1 Raw Support. But, it really is tough import my 10+ years of digital images into LR...taking more than 2 days. And I do find LR is pretty slow compared to ASP...making image adjustments, the refresh seems painfully slow. This is on a very new i7 processor, 64-bit Win8 with 8 GB ram.
I also discovered Mike Chaney's QImage, which I typically use for high qual print output, also appears to have E-M1 RAW conversion capability...though not listed anywhere on the website.

Re: ASP Support for Olympus OM-D E-M1 RAW Files
I have been shooting JPEG + RAW on the E-M1 and find ASP just fine for editing JPEGs. The quality of the JPEGs coming SOOC are fantastic. Darktable had some support for EM1 RAW files a few weeks ago but it was hard to get them to look as good as the JPEGs. The latest unstable build has excellent EM1 RAW support and I'm looking forward to full ISO-specific noise reduction soon too...
Based on what Rick noted about ASP 2.0, I estimate it will be at least 6 months before 2.0 ships...and I'm not waiting.

+1 for another Olympus E-M1 user here.
It's a great camera, but the Olympus RAW software is making me not use it as often as I might otherwise.
Please include support for the EM1 soon!

Re: ASP Support for Olympus OM-D E-M1 RAW Files
I submitted E-M1 noise profiles to darktable for every ISO stop and it works so well. Noise is gone with almost no impact on detail. Truly sublime. You can compile the 1.4 RC1 from git to test it but it should also make it into the 1.4 release version in a few weeks.
With all the additional features in dt, I see no reason to continue to use ASP.

Re: ASP Support for Olympus OM-D E-M1 RAW Files
It's end of January now.....
I have had my excellent camera for 3 months now.
Still no support for the E-M1.
I am checking updates every day, but not that many days more .....
Why is this taking so long time?
Basically, my paid license for ASP is useless. Not good for ASP's "image".
Who would buy a software that is so slow in getting updates, as anyone can see here, and what any potential buyer normally checks?
I learned my lesson
At least, my post might have helped some other people

There have been plenty of warnings already in the forum. Did you look?

No. That is the lesson I learnt.
