No sound in Edit Room

No sound in Edit Room

I have just installed DVD MovieFactory 7 Pro on my new Windows 8 computer. I have been using it successfully on Windows XP for years. On Windows 8 my video clips play perfectly on the main page of MovieFactory but when I go into "Edit Room" the video plays fine but there is no sound. Any suggestions?
