Broken download: AfterShot Pro Update 1.2.0.7 Debian 32bit

Hi,
I am struggling with the installation of Aftershot on Debian Wheezy.

Because of the deprecated ia32-libs and Aftershot amd64 seems to be just a fake x64 package, I am using the i386 package.
I was able to successfully install AfterShot 1.1.1.0 i386 with the new multiarch support. This is working fine. But I am not able to install the latest update of 1.2.0.7 i386.

I am getting following messages (even it is German, the most important part is English "incorrect data check" ):

dpkg-deb (Unterprozess): Archiv-Element wird dekomprimiert: interner gzip-Lesefehler: »<fd:4>: incorrect data check«
dpkg-deb: Fehler: Unterprozess <Dekompression> gab den Fehlerwert 2 zurück
dpkg: Fehler beim Bearbeiten von AfterShotPro_i386.deb (--install):
Unterprozess dpkg-deb --fsys-tarfile gab den Fehlerwert 2 zurück
Fehler traten auf beim Bearbeiten von:
AfterShotPro_i386.deb

So Corel Support can you please verify that the official download is not broken. And yes I have tried the download several times.

I bet you have an issue with a silly firewall or something else...
That package has been online for a few months without any reports of it being broken.

I just downloaded it here and ran a dpkg -c on it which does the extraction step to check the contents and it ran fine.
md5sum is cda3cb9233be8babf1f6c3226a5d5b8a

Hi thanks for your feedback.
In the meanwhile I have tried again to download the file with different machines and browsers, but the archive is still broken. I am pretty sure, that it is not a firewall issue. I had never problems like this before and the older versions are working without problems. I also tried to change the language on the corel site with the hope that I would get a different localized download link, but unfortunately not.

So the download link I am getting from the corel page ist always:
http://www.corel.com/akdlm/6763/downloa ... o_i386.deb

And I get following different checksum for the file.
741819c7b08779a6b0d27c819db471e8

Also the archive manager is not able to open the deb. What is not a problem with other debs, like the deb files of the older versions of aftershot.

Could you may host the file somewhere else and send me a private link? This would be awesome!

chrisLB i downloaded from the link you provided and can verify your md5 sum.

but that deb seems to be missing some files. (no /opt/Aftershotpro/bin ??

then i went to http://www.corel.com/corel/pages/index. ... d=14400019
and downloaded: http://www.corel.com/akdlm/6763/downloa ... o_i386.deb

that version contains all needed files and gives the md5 sum afx provides. (But this is version 1.1.1.10)


you might want to give the .rpm a spin, that one works (use 'alien' to convert it to a deb)

I tried to download the file again with flashgot, wget, firefox, jdownloader.

It's still broken, it's even not possible to extract the file with the gnome archive manager.

Pls. check your file again.

The file is definitive broken. afx has used mistakenly version 1.1.1.0 and not 1.2.0.7
