Best combination to render in Full HD?

Post by yamanisgr8 »

Few months back i switched to HD from SD and then i had many problems with rendering. Finally i had selected "IPAD HD" for rendering. Thats not full hd. But i want my videos in FULL HD. Can anyone please let me know what combination will be best for it?

My video's specs are:

Video
.mp4 files
1920x1080 Frame size.
Data Rate: 15055kbps
Frame rate: 29 frames/persecond

Audio
Bit Rate: 254kbps
Stereo
Audio sample rate: 48khz

What setting will be good for rendering in 1920x1080?

Thanks in advance

Hi

What you use to create the final video depends on what you wish to make, burning a standard DVD would use different settings to say a HD bluray disc, the latter requires a bluray burner.
Hybrid discs burn HD to standard DVD using standard CD DVD burner but requires a Bluray DVD Player for playback.

Or are you intending to make a video for the internet or PC playback.

The option Share Create Video File – Same as first clip is available for some formats, that would use the original properties and retain the original quality.

So what are you intending to create?
What version of Video Studio are you using?

Hi

try Share Upload to Web -- YouTube 16:9

Once created simply cancel the YouTube login, then view the new file for quality.

Sorry I misunderstood your first post.............

If you wish the similar quality as original then Same as first clip will do that, your files will be large.

Use make Movie Templates Manager to create a similar template using your video files properties, if the Add function is works that will make a copy of the video properties.
Now edit the template reducing the Data Rate will reduce the file size, at a cost of reducing quality.

You could try the other Moeg4 options, Share Create Video File MPEG-4 AVC (1920x1080)
again Make movie Templates Manager to modify the default templates.

Trevor has alluded to this, but let's make it clear: Any form of HD results in big files. Your input file size of 15 Mbps for 1920 x 1080 video is about the smallest data rate that you can have for decent-quality "full HD." Any format you might render that to (such as AVCHD or MPEG4) will have about the same file size. There may be a choice for smaller files, but you will pay a quality penalty -- at 15 Mpbs, the HD video you're using is already considerably compressed. There's not much more blood that can be squeezed from this digital turnip.

If you want full HD (1920 x 1080), you will have BIG files. There's no way to avoid it. What you have now is about as small as HD can be and still be reasonable quality.

I had tried first video clip some days back, it made a file of approx 5gb of a video which was just 6 mins. That's very high for YouTube isn't it?

I could not get the movie templates manager and hence could not do the step you mentioned. Please throw in some light in that process!

Just tried rendering a 00:1:20 minute video in Custom AVI 1920x1020. File size of 14.4gb :O

I can compensate on video clarity a bit.. But 14.4gb for a video of 1 minute and 20 second isn't too much?

I have tried using AVCHD in 1920x1080. Same video file 00:1:20. It made a file of 170mb.

170mb is somewhat good.. Thanks all.. I will use this preset from now until i get a bigger sized HD and a higher speed computer and internet.

Hi

Make Movie Templates Manager allows you to create a template of your choosing.

Go to Settings Make Movie Templates Manager.
Click the Add option then browse for your original video, some videos are not recognised, if you can see your video select it, that will use the properties of your video file, give the template a name.
The template will be available from Share Create Video File at the bottom of the list.

Now you can if you wish “edit” the template, reducing the Data Rate will reduce the file size but also reduce the quality.

I created a template to :-
MPEG-4 Files
24 bits, 1920 x 1080, 30 fps
Frame-based
H.264 High Profile Video: 15000 Kbps
44100 Hz, 16 Bit, Stereo
MPEG AAC Audio: 128 Kbps
This rendered a one minute clip to approx 100Mb
I believe you could reduce the data rate to 6000Kbps but will impact on quality.

For YouTube you are probably best using mpeg4, your original format.
The option to “upload to web-youtube-16:9 created a file of 33Mb for a 1 minute video. But using 1280 x 720
A compromise on file sizes, give it a try and test youtube for quality.

Sorry for late reply. I was busy in our Festival Diwali :)

I just tried making the template. I am not able to select my videos.. They are Mp4 files.. Also i tried to make a custom template without selecting the video. But not able to. The standard frame size does not exceed 720x526. User-defined is not available.
