I know that x6 comes with limited Picture Frames. I loaded, via preferences, the x5 set of frames that I had been using. All was well. Now my frames have vanished. (All but the original limited set). I've tried to reload them into x6. But x6 is refusing to find them. I'm using 64bit. Was before when all was well.
I've no idea where they went or what caused it.
So what am I missing? Why can't preferences find them now? Or is my old brain failing and I'm missing something? The thing is I rarely use Picture Frames so I may have forgotten how to reload them via Preferences.
Can someone please set me straight before what's left of my hair comes out!!! (For interest sake I fired up x5 and the frames have also gone from it. The location was /My Documents/Corel Painshop Pro/16.0/Picture Frames. The files are still there).

Re: missing picture frames on x6
OK I've managed to reload Picture Frames and Gradients. No idea where they went to. I had a lot of trouble pointing x6 back to them.
I copied them from my old x4 folders.
Any ideas on how they went missing would be a help so that I don't do it again would be appreciated.
I'm not the first person to have issues with the 'missing' Frames, Gradients etc in x6. I know they left them out to make downloading easier. But I wish there was a clearer route for everyone to follow to reload them into x6. A simple patch would help. Corel, are you listening?
Regards

Re: missing picture frames on x6
On XP, and PSP X5 the frames are found in
Program Files > Corel > Corel PaintShop Pro X5 > Corel_09
In X6 they are found in
C>Documents and Settings> All Users > Application Data (HiddenFile)> Corel > Corel PaintShop Pro X6 > Corel_09
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ON 64 bit Windows 7
X5 Frames are found in:
C > Program Files (86) > Corel > Corel PaintShop Pro X5 > Corel_09
X6 Frames are found in:
C> ProgramData > Corel > Corel PaintShop Pro X6 > Corel_09
User saved frames are in:
C > Users > (MyName) > My Documents > CorelPaintshopPro > 16.0> Picture Frames
If you continue losing your frames etc from the Program Data line (don't know why this should occur) you might move them into the User folder line.
Program Files > Corel > Corel PaintShop Pro X5 > Corel_09

Re: missing picture frames on x6
Thanks Hartpaul. Because it's something you should only have to do once forgetting how to do it an issue. Would be nice if Corel included a simple method of having 'old' data, such as frames etc, transfer automatically. Shouldn't be too hard to include in preferences an automatic search!!!
I also lost my plugins.
I had a heavy afternoon of editing many photos. Somewhere along the line, poof, they went missing. I'm not aware of anything out of the ordinary happening. Same ol routine I always use.
I copied over all the frames and gradients from x4 and x5. Now I have a LOT.
Good idea about a user folder. I'll do that. Put everything in one place and next time I forget I'll reload them form, er where was that?
