Hello
PSP X6
In the Manage workspace, in preview mode, the picture on the preview area does not fill the frame but about 3/4 of it leaving the right and bottom ends empty.
It is the same with the 64b and 32b vertions.
Is it a bug or I miss some setting ?
Thanks
Arie

Re: Picture does not fill the frame
A little of both, a little of neither.
Windows has a built in feature to make text and icons appear larger on higher resolutions. So you can have a higher resolution, but icons and text don't look tiny.
PSP does not support this. So it sometimes effects portions of the UI and not others. Only Corel knows why. For example if we have windows set to render at 125% of its actual size, the border in the Manage mode of PSP is rendered 125% larger. But the image itself is rendered at size.
Again, no idea why.
So unless it truly just annoys you, it's nothing to be concerned with. IF it does annoy you then you have to change it in Windows.
Control Panel -> Appearance and Personalization -> Display -> Make Text and other items larger or smaller.
Set it to 100% - Small

I've noticed that when this occurs in the program the information/tool is displayed in an additional frame. An example would be comparison of Adjust/Brightness and Contrast/Histogram Adjustment from the menu shown on the left in the screen capture vs. New Adjustment Layer/Histogram on the right. In the example on the right the Midtones Compress is cut off. The same material as in the left example is displayed inside what I would call a frame in the right. These examples were captured sequentially in the same session of PSP with Windows at 125%. I like using the Adjustment Layers but if I want to use Histogram I have to go to the Adjust menu.
You're more familiar than I with this stuff - what do you make of this?

Exact same problem. Why certain elements of the UI are enlarged with the Windows setting and others are not I do not know. But I've complained of this inconsistency before.
