VS PRO X6 ULTIMATE RE INSTALL WITH WINDOWS 8.1

I recently upgraded to Windows 8.1 from Windows 7

VS PRO X6 did not intall in the new Windows 8.1 ; I therefore try to re-install with the original file.exe download

The installation seems to work fine but VS doesn't open at all (nor the Bonus Content)

Any help/information would be appreciated

I am still using Windows 7, in fact only upgraded this year so a bit behind the times, in a way glad I am not running Windows 8, but the program should install and run OK, we do hear of problems, but that’s the same for an program.

I don’t understand your comment regarding the Bonus Content, I guess that wont install till the main program has installed correctly. Then you seem to mention installing from two different files??????

How far does the program get to running when you try to open it?

I searched the Knowledge Base for Video Studio X6 –Installation—windows 8 and found some reference to installing in Safe Mode.

For what it's worth (FWIW). I had VS pro X6 running under windows 8.0 and upgraded to 8.1 last week and it works fine.

Yes indeed that is worth knowing that Video Studio works with Windows 8.1
