Hello all. I'm currently working on a video that has alot of individual pictures etc in the timeline. I would like to delete a few of the pictures from the video. However, when I delete the pictures I get an opening in the video that I don't wish to have. How do I shift the entire video over to fill that gap? I have looked and looked and can not figure out how to do it and can not find a similar quesiton on this forum or any others. On the flip side of the coin. Is there a way to insert a clip into the timeline and shift everything down around the inserted clip?
Thanks in advance for any help!

Re: Deleting a video from the timeline
Are you not putting every thing in the top track ? - if you put every thing in the top track every thing automatically moves to the left when you delete something to close the gap. When you want to insert something else you just drag it from the library down onto a split between two other items and every thing to the right will automatically move right to make room for it.

Re: Deleting a video from the timeline
Automatic moving of clips when deleting or adding is called Ripple Editing. For ease of reference, I have attached an image to show you where the control is, and also noting as Brian has already done, that the top track does not allow gaps between clips/images, but that overlay tracks do. Click on the Ripple Editing control enables ripple editing; clicking on it again disables it.
