Re: Playback issues
Hi
Thanks for the sample, it appears to be a bog standard HD Mt2s video file.
One Question, what type of Player are you using to play this file, it is HD and you will need a Bluray Player to play this video.
I can change its extension to MPG and play on my standard DVD Player.
I have two USB devices one contains some software, I have troubles playing using this on some of my players.
The other reads ok, it is simply formatted and only has data files.
PAL double (50 fps)
MPEG Transport-Stream Files
24 bits, 1920 x 1080, 50 fps
Frame-based
(HDMV-PAL), 16:9
H.264 Video
Video data rate: Variable (Max. 25999 kbps)
Audio data rate: 256 kbps
Dolby Digital Audio, 48 KHz, 2/0(L,R)
I have no problems in playing this file using my USB memory stick on Bluray Player

I don't have BD player. I copied this in the USB to play directly to TV. While this arrangement plays MP4 or MPEG2 it does not play M2ts though my TV CAN play m2ts as shown in my earlier posts

Your Sony Bravia does not play that format as well as many others. I also have a Sony Bravia and experience the same problem. I now have a Western Digital Live Streaming Media player attached to the TV and that will play almost every video I throw at it. I have attached a hard drive to the WD as well as a USB stick.

Re: Playback issues
The Western Digital device gets good reviews as being able to play just about anything, and it's pretty cheap to boot these days. An oldie but a goodie!!

Hmm. So TV is the culprit. Well then how does it play the raw clip of my Sony HX300
it plays the raw clip but does not when rendered with X6

The render properties are listed in OP "I produced this as AVC H.264 1980x1080/50p (28 Mbps) and as AVC H.264 1980x1080/50i (28Mbps)"

The video clip you sent did not play. I did exactly what you did before I posted the problem here. What is foxing me is why does the raw clip play while it does not when rendered

Re: Playback issues
Hi Babdi
The only difference in the two files seems to be the extension used, all properties appear identical.
The original uses “m2ts”, whilst the converted file uses “m2t”
Did you try re-naming the M2T to use M2TS.
Maybe your device only recognises m2ts types???
