I use Windows 7 Home Premium, and I recently installed VideoStudio Pro X6. After making a video file, I found that the file details that are usually visible within Windows Explorer were not present. For example, when making a video using older versions of VideoStudio Pro, Windows Explorer would display the file size, video length, frame width and height, frame rate, data rate, ect., but now with Pro X6 none of these details can be found. When right-clicking on the file in Windows Explorer to check the properties tab, all the fields reserved for these details are blank.
Is there a setting within Pro X6 that I am overlooking that enables the saving of these details again?

Hi
Are you sure you are viewing the properties from the right place.
Windows Explorer has never displayed those properties.
From within Video Studio, right click a clip and select properties, view the properties there.

Thanks for replying! But yes, I am 100% positive I am viewing the right place (this "right place" is referred to as the Details Pane of Windows Explorer in the version of Windows 7 I am using). I used to have VideoStudio Pro X5 and it created files that had the information I am referring to. The method you refer to works, and does provide the file information I am looking for, but for some reason this data is not being saved with video files I make with VideoStudio like it used to.lata wrote:Hi

I am beginning to suspect this is a Windows problem and not anything related to VideoStudio, but I had to see if anyone was having a similar problem.

Re: Missing file details in Windows Explorer
Hi
apologies
yes you can view the properties in Detail View, I generally use that option but not in such detail.
You can add columns to the default view, Right Click the column names., but the frame sizes and rates do not show by default.
I must admit I have not bothered with viewing those details via windows explorer.

Re: Missing file details in Windows Explorer
OK, just for closure, I figured I'd post what my solution was if anyone else ever needs it. I was guessing that, since VideoStudio Pro would let me see the properties of the files it was creating and Windows was not, it was a Windows problem. So I ran the System File Checker command (sfc /scannow) and that seemed to fix my problem.
