Here my problem, I cannot press space bar to play my video anymore while in editing. It shows on the screen the play button is pressed but nothing actually playes. And when I press the space bar again it shows it being paused. When I try to edit a segment. It also skips to the very end everytime I do this. I dont know why. Ive re-downloaded this once already and everything worked fine for about a day then it started doing the same thing again. I have tried looking up solutions and I cannot find anything about this matter.


How can I stop this skipping to the end? I cant even play my video. ONLY if I have something selected will it play. it will not play for example a text track and a video track together. It HAS to be selected in order to play.


It also will NOT let me save the video's anymore also? as in creating a video file. Help?

Start a new project
Place one clip in the top track.
Click on the word Project next to the play button, this is project playback
Press Play
Are you saying that the video does not play then the curser jumps to the end of the clip.
Press “clip” and Play again. Does that do the same

Using the sample clips from the library, do they play ok.

Right click the problem clip in the timeline and select properties what are they?
Copy the window as an image and attach to your post?

Sample clips work fine. But my other clips after trying as you suggest still do not work. Skipping to the end is still happening. Sample clips will render, but yet my other clips will not.

I would hazard a guess it’s the Fraps compression that Video Studio does not like, other than the frame size being non standard at 1600 x 796.

You may have to use another program to convert the video to a more editable format.
There are free converters available but tend to provide all sorts of additional junk.
I use AVS converter, another called FreemakeVideo Converter, in fact just having a look at that particular converter??

Hello, I found out it works if I convert them. But I have a little bit of a problem. I record gameplay and the same thing is happening to my game videos as it hasent happened before. I dont want to take time converting every single gaming file for it to work. The gaming ones dont skip to end but rather dont play and are stuck on pause unless I click on them.
