usb catalog

Post by gordianus »

I heb installed ASP on a portable pc and set the catalag to an external usb-disk. This works fine.
Followed tha manual to set the catalog portable, but that does not work. ASP crashes on a fixed win7 pc, as wel as on a Kubuntu pc when adressing the pictures with xmp.
Also says he can noet write to the xmp files.

Hope sombody can help me, because I love ASP, but need the Portability

Greetz,

Geert

Geert
Jeff heeft een webinar precies hierover gedaan. Dat wordt ergens op YouTube te vinden. Misschien is dat (in de engels) hier.

I can't reproduce this ... partly becauseI don't have a Windows system of any colour to practice with. When I create the mobile catalog, the "contact prints" don't show the question mark I see in your screenshots. And the only kind of filesharing I have ATM is via Dropbox which makes a separate physical copy for each machine I share a directory to.

Does the question mark show up only on the second machine, or on both?

The questionmark only shows on the second and third machine (1 linux & 1 win7), on the first machine everything works fine
Can I remove All those links, so I could give it a try to start all over again?

Good to hear - Could you try to mark the thread as "solved"? I had a go, but perhaps only the OP can change the title
