Hi,
I have a license for videostudio X5 as well as X6. I happened to install, wrongly, the X5 on my fairly new Windows 8 laptop. Instead of the X6.
Now when I try to UNinstall X5 from my Windows 8 laptop, the scenario is this: In the Win 8 control panel, uninstall programs, I can not see the video studio X5 program. So it is very difficult to uninstall via the Control panel. Do you know how I can safely & easily uninstall X5 from my win 8 machine, because as I said, when I open the control panel in Windows 8, it aint showing the program - but I can of course still open the X5 program.
Thanks
Stefan

Re: Wrongly installed X5 on Windows 8, now can not uninstall
You can TRY using the X5 un-install tool which I have attached as a zipped file - download it - unzip it and run the resulting .exe file.
I say try it because it is untested on Windows 8 so I cannot guarantee it's success
but the bottom line is you do not really need to unistall X5 - just install X6 and leave X5 where it is - all versions of VideoStudio happily co-exist on a computer as long as you only try to run one at a time. I currently have 5 versions of VideoStudio on my computer and often start up older versions to ensure I'm giving the correct info on here .
