RAW Support for new Olympus E-M1 missing

Post by loe »

I was just wondering if anybody knows how long I have to wait until an update will deliver support for the RAW files for my Olympus E-M1.

I'm still waiting for my ordered E-M1, but would really like to get RAW support as soon as possible.

Did anyone do some tests of the E-M5 with ASP? (my wife is getting one).

Thanks in advance.

ASP works just fine with E-M5 Raw files, but JPEGs out of that camera are also lovely and ASP can improve them modestly. Darktable already supports the E-M1, and I hope Corel will support it soon in ASP too!

Almost, I'd say. I've been using ASP for E-M5 RAWs since Aug'12, and the only issue I've had is that the pre-defined white balance settings (sunny, cloudy, ...) in ASP are completely wrong for this camera. I've been working around this by using "as shot", "click white" or "custom" (names recited from memory, not looked up right now). Of course I'd love to see this fixed.

Once ASP supports the E-M1, I might go check my wallet.
