Re: capture review in video studio 10
could you please explain a little more - you say no preview so does that mean you can capture but cannot see the video when capturing - but can see it after capture.
Version 10 is very very old now and is often only supplied now with a very dodgy device called Easy-cap - is that what you have ?
What are you capturing from - what camera or device - how are you trying to capture - firewire - USB - drag and drop ??
help us to help you Wally - the more you tell us the more we can help

Re: capture review in video studio 10
Is there a makers name on your usb device - my search sent me to Roxio - but there may be others
In the specification for the Roxio USB2861 device under system requirements it says :-
Only compatible with Roxio Creator™ 2010, Roxio Creator™ 2010 Pro, Roxio Creator™ 2011 and Roxio Creator™ 2011 Pro, Roxio Creator™ 2012, Roxio Creator™ 2012 Pro, Creator NXT and Creator NXT Pro
I do not see VideoStudio any where in that list - so it looks as though you cannot use VideoStudio - do you have any of those Roxio products - you can capture with that and import to videostudio for editing

Re: capture review in video studio 10
So where did the USB2861 device come into the picture ???
I note from the web site you linked to that the Video 2 PC MKII unit comes complete with it's own software - it is usually best to use the supplied software to capture to your HDD and then import the video to VideoStudio for viewing and editing
alternatively can you use Power director to capture to you HDD and again import to VideoStudio for viewing and editing.

Re: capture review in video studio 10
Thanks for your help
The reason I wanted to use videostudio is that it show previer in full screen mode.
What I do is record Skateing partys and I need to use my laptop to view in preview mode because need to zoom in and out to see the skaters.
With full screen preview and can watch with out looking thru the view in camera
Thanks again

Re: capture review in video studio 10
So you are trying to use the laptop as a monitor really at that point and capture is just convenient there rather than after the show has finished.
