PSP X4 and ICC profiles

Post by JohnB352 »

Long story short; I bought a DSLR camera a couple months ago. Didn't like the prints I got from Walmart so I bought a Canon Pixma Pro-100 printer. Now I've discovered to get good color representation with my new printer I need to buy a monitor calibration device. Ok. But I somehow need to also use ICC profiles. I have PSP X4, but after going through the product Help I don't find anything about ICC profiles. I haven't bought the monitor calibration tool yet, I want to make sure I can use PSP for this purpose.

Does PSP support ICC profiles?

I don't use color management, but in X4, under File/color management/color management I see things like ICC and ICM profiles.

Those profiles are located (Windows 7) in your root\windows\system32\spool\driver\color\ so I assume you'd have to place any profile you get/generate there.

Good luck.

Yeah I see that. On mine I don't see anything about ICC anything on that screen but, under the folder you mention I do see a bunch of ICC profiles.
Maybe I'll get lucky and someone that uses color management will see this.
Thanks.
