Let me tell you about how angry I am! I just did two videos on X4, totally forgetting I'd bought X6. Now I'm pissed off. This is utterly ridiculous! You have to crop your photos to work????????????? Wait, you didn't in X4, and you shouldn't have to in X6.

Anyone know an executive at Corel that I can jump all over, scream at, curse like a sailor and tell him or her what I think of this stupid product? I've been a Corel geek since they bought Jasc, but now they are turning me away! This is getting worse by the minute with their "upgrades". I'm starting to wonder, maybe they are actually owned by Microsoft, that would explain the idiocy in this lunatic version of their software.

Now I wish I'd not spent my money on X6. Literally, not one jpeg, not one bmp, not one of any version fits because I had no clue that I had to crop the living sh$t out of the pictures. Stupid, idiotic, lunacy, friggin one of the dumbest things I've ever had the dissatisfaction in dealing with Corel software......sigh......

Ken or Lata, any word on this? I'm ready to uninstall and demand a refund on x6, just getting more ridiculous by the day. I should never have bought this, if I'd have known up front that I couldn't upload a single photo to be used.

I have no idea what your problem is and I am not about to read all 7 pages of posts. I have no problems adding jpgs to X6 or X5
Why didn't you start your own thread instead of hijiacking this thread.

Could you upload a problem photo to a free website so others can look at it and test it.

Dude, it's not a hijack, same issue as others. And I uploaded the same photos into X4, but none work in X6. That tells me X6 has a problem. Add to it the idiocy of VSP is there is NO help button, no help file, no help anything! So how am I supposed to find out the "rules" of uploading photos into a program that has no help file to explain the "rules"???? You can b*tch all you want, but it is getting dumber by the minute. I've taken it apart, downloaded tons of add-ins, yet nothing there shows a help file...sigh...

Do you just want to b*tch and rant or do you want some help? I asked if you could upload a problem photo to a free website and you come back with another rant.

Did you bother to click on the Launch Help button? I grant that it is not that extensive a Help file and does not cover a lot of features but it is there if you just look.

Yes sir I will try that. I'll upload a photo later.

I have not seen a "launch help" button but I'll search for it.

If the "Corel Guide" does not show when you launch VS X6 then click the "Help and Information" icon at the top right of the Corel screen.
That brings up the "Corel Guide" screen and then scan through the banner until you see the Launch Help icon. Click it to launch the Help system.

Okay, found it, loaded up the changes and mods for the files as explained, tried reformatting the photos, resizing, etc., and none of it works. Now I'm uninstalling and then reinstalling X6, but my feel is it won't matter. I may have to refund this and try the 32 bit instead of this 64bit.

Any other suggestions are most welcome.

Still waiting for an exact description on what you are trying to do and what you are doing. All you have posted so far is "it doesn't work".

I doubt very much that switching to 32bit will make any difference.
Have you uploaded a problem photo so others can test it?

Simple - trying to make an mpeg video based on a large quantity of photos. I've tried uploading them in bulk, and/or individually. Doesn't matter what I'm trying to do as regardless of what, any attempt to upload a photo of any size, type, etc., all give the same error every single time. Even opened up VSP x6 in Administrative mode and yet still same error.

As suggested earlier in this thread, I've reformatted the images to be in 16:9 size. 1600x900 images are not allowed for me to post here so I can't post the "real" images. I'll resize them for the posting here.

Posting the images here is useless since they are not the original.
We need the original, undoctored image files. I asked you to upload them to a free website (such as 4shared.com) or a "cloud storage"

That same image I've posted, it will not upload either, same exact error message. Reinstalled x6 and it made no difference.

Hi

As far as I know the largest file size you can attach to this forum is 256Kb..

I doubt if your original images are that small, but if so, zip the image and attach the zip file to your post.

Otherwise a sharing site would be best.
Windows Skydrive is free and will do the job, otherwise any of your choosing.

OK

How are you trying to add the images to Video Studio. :?:
Try this……….
Right click the timeline and select Insert Photo
Browse the hard drive for the image and select Open

Jpeg Images.
Some problems can occur if the images have been saved as Progressive rather than Baseline.
Some problems can occur if the camera has added exif details to the images.

I had some problems with a laptop, the problem was my graphics driver, not something you would expect with a new pc?

Just noticed your reply……
I have no problem inserting that image to Video Studio X6, by the way the image is baseline
