Hello

the first thing we need to know is what made the original video - what sort of camera - make and type please.

how did the video get from your camera to your computer - what method did you use

what extension does the video file have - what comes after the dot in the file name

OK it is good that you have fixed your first problem

but we do not know if it will stop again during rendering - you must try it and see - if it does then please make a note of any error message and let us know what it says.

You cannot damage your original video if it stops - that is safe - so please try to finish your video and see what happens.

That depends on what you are going to do with the final video - are you going to put it on Youtube - or watch it only on your computer - or burn a DVD to watch in a standard DVD player - or what ?

For a standard DVD, you must use DVD-compatible mpeg-2. So in Video Studio you choose either Share > Create Video File > DVD or else Share > Create Disc > DVD.

so - do what Ken suggests and make an mpg file by selecting DVD from the video types

why do you want to use another programme to burn the DVD - VideoStudio does a very good job of that

To Create a Video - Click on the "Share" tab at the top of the screen.

a new panel will open - choose "Create Video File" then 'DVD' and continue from there - this will make a video to view on your computer AND that you can burn to disc
